SHORTS POUNDING & VFR'S
A little transcript regarding a trip to Wilpena Pound & other philosophicals from our mate Bones:

G'day all, So, there have been whisperings of a week long jaunt to Wilpena Pound maybe around easter. My initial idea was for a one day run ( approx 1200km ), followed by a few days at the park with some overnight bushwalking ( hopefully doing the rim of the crater ). Mick - you sound like you might be out, Geoff - not keen on the first day leg but will you have your old kwaka going by then, Bones - Will you have a bike and week off by then? Reason I wanted to do the one dayer was to have some more time at the actual park, but doing it in one or two days is academic. If anyone knows any other cats who might be interested let us know. what the fuck is or where the fuck is a wilpena ,,is it like the broken hill 500ks of straight road thing...for fuck sake the way im goin i wont have a bike anyway---still deciding weather or not to do a festival in sydney over the easter week end ....definetly up for somthing anzac w/end but ..id even do the ride we did last year --minus the oil spill, the near death experience and the dirt face planting and adding much more fire wood burning......Im still deciding about easter ,I will probably have blown a fuse by then because march is lookin real busy with extra events for the commonwealth games ,Its been a busy but financially rewarding summer so by end of March ,I will probably be ready to say fuck this working shite...I might have to retrace all the rides i missed out on during summer in winter....Had a bit of a read of the web thingy your doin ,,its preety well written ,,have to look at it in full when have some more time..good winter reading ,will have to lend you some of the many travel bike books im reading...Be good to start another site just for dummy spits on group rides and other ride fuck ups ..with all name with held to protect the not so innocent...take it easy ..(by the ay sorry bout my crap typing) ...boner

Hey Bones, The fuck ups blog sounds like a not at all silly idea. Lord knows we have plenty of material to draw upon. The last entry on the Moomins MC, I left out the fact that first night i realised I'd left my shorts at home, thus only having my leathers. Luckily Gino had a spare pair. The next day Iwas forced to chose between 80's flouro splatter or vertical black & white short on sale at the only shop open on Oz Day in Orbost. Needless to say the next few days I had to endure all sorts of unwanted comment about my choice of fashionable ( or not ) clobber. I may've looked like a prisoner, but beats wearing leathers! Any luck with this year's bike hunting season? No danger of exceeding your bag limit?

oww wearing ginos shorts ,,oww ,,hope you wore some protection....bike hunting been a pain in the arse (having no time until the last week and being a fussy cunt hasnt helped) almost bought a vfr last friday but didnt pan out ,some poeple(school teachers in particlular) have no idea how to negotiate...anyway that drama has reapeared tonight so you never know might have a bike tomorw--the negotiating is within 100 bucks of each other....maybe i should offer to throw in a t-shirt and a skirt for his missus...Ill have to give you the full story l;ater..Think im getting karma for having such an easy time getting rid of the Z600 EVEN AFTER I TRASHED IT ...GOOD I MISS THAT BIKE ,THINK IM GOING TO WEEP UNCONTROLABLY NOW......Any way you should have included micks dummy spit in the last entry.... wonder if Ill become like that if I buy a VFR,they are a weird bunch VFR riders ,I know ive looked at a few, and they all think VFRs are this Horn lookin hot rod bike ,with MV Augusta looks , when to me there sort of an old guys bike ,,or realy an old poofs bike ... anyway ill probably buy one any way ,till i can work out what i realy want,,BUT I STILL WOULDNT WEAR GINOS SHORTS ..............................................................
